Beirut is the name of 20-year-old Albuquerque native Zach Condon's one man band. Assisted by Jeremy Barnes (Neutral Milk Hotel, A Hawk and a Hacksaw) and Heather Trost (A Hawk and a Hacksaw), it combines elements of Eastern European and folk sounds. Though young, Condon already has a few albums under his belt. He recorded under the name Real People when he was 15, which was an electronic record admittedly fashioned after his love of the Magnetic Fields.
